Hericium, Lion's Mane, Monkey Head Mushroom

The lion's mane (Hericium erinaceus), also called monkey head mushroom, is an excellent edible fungus. It is named after its beautiful fruit body, which can also be found in our temperate climate.

Recent scientific studies- including those in Germany, for example at the Technical University of Weihenstephan (Bavaria)- have confirmed what has been known in Asia for the last few hundred years: this fungus contains many effective ingredients!

All 8 amino acids which are essential to human nutrition are included. In total, the fungus contains 19 free amino acids. In addition, Hericium has a high potassium content, but low levels of sodium; it provides us with germanium, zinc, iron and selenium.
It is therefore an excellent dietary supplement- and can help maintain a healthy mucosa in the stomach and intestines.
